The Teachers Council of Seychelles (TCS) is a professional body for teachers in Seychelles.
The overall mandate of the Teachers Council of Seychelles in accordance with the Education (Teachers Council Seychelles) Regulation 2021, is to promote and regulate the teaching profession.
The purpose therefore is to serve the public interest by providing a legal framework that regulates and contributes to the improvement of standards in the teaching profession.
To register teachers in Seychelles who meet the legal requirements
Promote teaching as a profession
Establish and maintain codes of conduct and ethics for teachers
Ensure maintenance of high professional standards
Conduct research on matters concerning the teaching profession
Elevate and promote teaching as a noble profession
Maintain a register of teachers and promote continuing professional development and high ethical standards

WHERE TO START?
Take count of your registration period and start collecting and keeping a record of your professional learning activities.
Create a ‘Teacher Registration’ file and place your activity log sheet at the front as a content page.
Start filing out your log sheet (best to be done gradually during your period of registration).
Save your evidence in the file (attendance register, notes, certificates, samples of students work and other relevant evidence)
